With that in mind, we have created Unilever Canada’s first Indigenous Student Internship with a focus on Human Resources. The Unilever Canada Summer Internship runs from May – August 2023. Your duties will include but are not limited to: Assist DEI&B team in:

  • Developing relevant programing to support internal activations and immersive cultural experiences, like Asian Heritage Day, National Indigenous History Month, and others.
  • Organizing a Diversity & Inclusion Fair, this includes curating speakers and events.
  • Re-launching Unilever Canada’s Diversity Self-ID campaign. This work will involve but is not limited to developing company wide communications plan, incentives set up and reporting.
  • Participate in Policies review to identify possible barriers to diverse recruitment and talent retention, specially towards Indigenous talent and talent with disabilities.
Work collaboratively with HR teams to support business needs on various HR matters. Required Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficient in MS Outlook, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Excel is a must.
  • Automation skills is a plus.
  • Highly developed organization skills with the ability to prioritize.
  • Ability to work in a team environment as well as independently.
You are eligible to apply for the program if you are:
  • An Indigenous post-secondary student
  • Starting or returning to a post-secondary program on a full-time basis as of September 2022
  • Committed to working a the 4 months work term from May to August on a full-time basis
  • Able to provide a resume and proof of post-secondary enrollment.
